Fall that goes from September to November is generally pleasant with cooler temperatures in the 40s and 50s.
Winter, from December to March, sees daytime temperatures average around freezing during the day and below freezing at night. Snowfall usually starts in November and extends until March. The best time to visit Zurich, Switzerland is in May and September when the weather is warm but not sweltering and the nights are cooler. Also, flights and hotels are generally cheaper during this time.
