Tokyo is the capital of Japan and is one of the world’s most populous cities. Known as Edo prior to 1868 this small castle town became the country’s political center in 1603. With so much to see, you might want to schedule a few days to really enjoy the area. The following are just a few of the many attractions to visit while in Tokyo.

Place to Stay in Tokyo:

Tokyo Kiba Hotel 東京木場ホテル

This is a capsule/pod hotel and it was totally worth the experience! I would definitely stay here again. Everything was clean and well-kept. There are some adjustments to get used to such as gender-specific shower rooms – no privacy… and no “locks” on the pod door because, well, there are no doors just a curtain.

Ichiran, Shibuya 一蘭渋谷店

This is a cubicle / vending machine type place.

Uobei Shibuya Dogenzaka 魚べい渋谷道玄坂店

This restaurant is a unique sushi experience. The chefs create sushi and place it on a plate and put it on a conveyor belt that winds around the restaurant.

Take a seat, and wait till you see something you want to try coming around. When it does, grab it, enjoy it and keep your plate. You pay for the number of plates you have when you are finished.
