This is the 5th Avenue of Zurich! Everything from art to fashion can be found on this one street. A fun fact about this street, it was the original site of medieval moats that surrounded the city.

Now, of course, those moats are filled in with pavement that led the visitor to many luxury and name-brand shops. Paradeplatz, along this route, is known as the banking center of Switzerland.

If you visit during the holidays, walk down this main road to enjoy the over 12,000 LED lights that cover the street. Shops along the road include Burberry, Bvlgari, Cartier, Chanel, Dior, Zegna, Armani, Gucci, Hermes, LV, Prada, Tiffany, etc.

Also, visit Paradeplatz at the end of Bahnhofstrasse closest to Lake Zurich. It is one of the most famous squares in Switzerland and is known for its famous chocolate shop and café, Confiserie Spungli.

Should you decide to leave this fancy area and go back into the old town, take Rennweg and Augustinergasse streets.
