If you want to experience a wonderful Capri sunset then heading out to this lighthouse is where you need to go. This location is known for being one of the best and most romantic spots to watch the sunset over the sea. Visitors can walk up to the top of the cliff, go down to the beach, or grab a snack at Bar Maliblu or Da Antonio and watch the sun go down.

Constructed in 1866, the majestic Punta Carena Lighthouse is Italy’s second tallest and a true guardian of the Tyrrhenian Sea. It has been active since 1867 keeping boats safe from the ragged coastline. Behind the lighthouse lies the Migliera cliff. These contain British defense walls that were built to protect the island from invasion in the 19th century.
The beach near the lighthouse is a quiet spot that is a bit out of the way but a popular place for day-trippers. If you want to spend the day at this location, the beach club, Lido del Faro is there to provide you with a gourmet restaurant and swimming pool.
