Where to Stay

Nantucket where to stay

If the idea of renting a quaint cottage appeals to you for your stay consider using FlipKey or VRBO. Renting gives me the ability to wash clothes and cook meals (which saves money); and the free, designated parking is an added bonus.

I like using these websites because it gives you the ability to choose the location, the number of guests, and other amenities such as a pool or beach access, and show you what is available during your proposed dates.

Nantucket is a very expensive island so booking early is key to getting a better deal. If you try to reserve your stay last minute, you will be looking at higher prices and few homes to choose from.

If you would rather stay in a hotel so that you can enjoy room service, clean linens on a daily basis, or concierge service, I would use Booking.com or Hotels.com. I have found both sites to be competitive in price and easy to use on the go because of their mobile apps. These apps keep your bookings available even if you are offline.
